New Year, New Foods!
During the holiday season, I had lots of time to make festive holiday foods! This included some warm loaves of bread for Christmas Eve dinner, of course with Christmas shapes such as a tree and a snowman. While they weren’t perfect, I enjoyed the challenge. I also decided to make cake pops to share with my friends at gymnastics, and let’s just say these were a HIT! Since this wasn’t enough sugar, I had to continue the tradition from my grandma, of making cinnamon rolls to enjoy through the holidays, especially for Christmas morning! Here are the pictures:
Since the holiday season, I have been super busy, so baking has not been my top priority. However, I did take a trip to Cornell University to visit my sister and watch the gymnastics team. While I was there I ate many ice cream sundaes, thanks to the Cornell Dairy Bar. I also went to Thompson and Bleecker with my sister, which is an Italian place. This place totally surprised me!! We ordered a Vodka roni pizza, which included fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, prosciutto, basil, and other ingredients. This pizza was phenomenal. We also ordered 2 kinds of pasta, Truffle Alfredo, and Pomodorino. This alfredo was the best pasta I have ever eaten. It was simply perfect. The Pomodorino was good as well, but nothing can compare to the Truffle Alfredo. It was perfectly rich and cheesy. Here are the pictures:
