How I got Started?
Hi! My name is Grace Mobley, and I am a 17-year-old girl. I am currently a junior in high school, and a level 10 gymnast. Ever since I was very little, I have always loved baking and cooking. Even when I was 6, I would help my mom make cupcakes for my siblings and I’s birthdays, or help my dad cook steak outside on the grill. This passion came from growing up with a family who loves high-quality, organic food, and is able to take the time to make homemade food. As I have grown up, this passion has switched from just a hobby, into what could be a profession. The chemistry behind food has been a growing interest of mine. What ingredients affect the outcome of the food the most? How can I test these theories? This is how I came up with the idea to start this website! I decided that if I was going to perform different experiments, and use different recipes with different ingredients, then I should share it with the world!
What Motivates Me?
As a junior in high school, I have found that I have high goals in life. Such as being valedictorian, going to an Ivy League college, and maybe even doing gymnastics in college. These goals motivate me to leap outside of my comfort zone and do anything I can to better myself, and my chances of going to the school of my dreams to study food science. This passion of food science is what leads me to complete different experiments and share my knowledge with everyone else, and to one day teach others the basics of cooking and baking.
